What Can You Expect from This Website?

1.) Honest resources. We will strive to serve you better than the Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) leadership and the School Board where we can do so.

2.) Community building. Our goal over the next few weeks and months is to build a framework for families that are interested in building grassroots movements around School Choice, Homeschooling, Military Family Programs, and more.

3.) Listening. We will regularly field surveys to gather how the FCPS community feels so that we can be heard. Our voices matter.

4.) Constant pressure. We will never stop asking for greater accountability and transparency from FCPS leadership and the School Board. We will continue to request documents through the Freedom of Information Act and then make those documents public to you, our supporters. If we are not satisfied, we will advocate for a change in leadership and a change in the Board.

5.) Emphasis on what matters. And for us that is excellence in leadership and academics, the reputation of FCPS, and the stewardship of our tax dollars. Government waste should never be tolerated.

Show your support!

Here is how you can help get the word out that you support Do Better FCPS.

  1. Make our logo your Facebook profile image. Download the logo here.

  2. Print out our logo on an 8.5x11 sheet of paper to hang in your window!

  3. Sign up for email updates. This is the best way to stay up to date.

  4. Share this website with your friends and family.

  5. Shop our store. All proceeds support our effort to file Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests with FCPS’s legal team. FCPS charges us legal fees, now in the thousands of dollars, just for the “right” to see emails and communications that are available to Virginia citizens via a FOIA request. We could use any support we can get to support our effort.

A special message for teachers.

We support our FCPS teachers 100%. Our efforts have to do with transparency of leadership actions and government accountability of elected officials.

If you are a Fairfax County Public School teacher, and you do not feel heard, do not feel represented, feel that there is a issue you want to see address by leadership and The Board, or feel that you have a story to share, let us know. We are here to listen.
